प्रदेश में महिलाओं को आत्म सम्मान के साथ रोजगार के साधन दिलाने के उद्देश्य से परिवहन विभाग द्वारा महिलाओं के लिये नि:शुल्क ड्रायविंग लाइसेंस की योजना चालाई जा रही है। योजना के माध्यम से अब तक 6 लाख 53 हजार से अधिक महिलाओं को नि:शुल्क ड्रायविंग लाइसेंस जारी किये गये है। विभाग द्वारा 7 लाख 52 हजार 600 से अधिक लर्निंग लायसेंस जारी किये गये है। महिलाएँ सुरक्षित रूप से सार्वजनिक सेवा की बसों में यात्रा कर सके। इसके लिये बसों में हेल्प लाइन नंबर 1091 अंकित कराया गया है।
महिलाओं को चालक-परिचालक का प्रशिक्षण
परिवहन विभाग द्वारा महिलाओं को रोजगार दिलाये जाने के उद्देश्य से चालक-परिचालक का नि:शुल्क प्रशिक्षण दिलाया जा रहा है। प्रदेश के 8 जिलों इंदौर, सागर, ग्वालियर, जबलपुर, झाबुआ, खंडवा, उज्जैन और धार में करीब 730 महिलाओं और युवतियों को हल्के मोटर यान (लाइट मोटर व्हीकल) चालन का प्रशिक्षण दिलाया गया है। इसके बाद उन्हें ड्रायविंग लायसेंस जारी किये गये है।
सार्वजानिक बसों पैनिक बटन सुविधा
निर्भया फंड की मदद से प्रदेश में परिवहन विभाग द्वारा सार्वजनिक वाहन में महिलाओं और युवतियों के सुरक्षित परिवहन के लिये पैनिक बटन सहित लोकेशन ट्रेकिंग डिवाइस प्रणाली मापदण्ड अनुसार लगाई जा रही है। अब तक लगभग 46 हजार 500 उपकरण वाहनों में लगाये जा चुके है। यह उपकरण महिलाओं की सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से उपयोगी है। कमांड एण्ड कन्ट्रोल सेंटर का निर्माण प्रदेश की राजधानी भोपाल में हो चुका है। परिवहन विभाग द्वारा फेसलेस सेवाओं के माध्यम से लायसेंस जारी किये जा रहे है। E-KYC द्वारा लर्नर लाइसेंस प्राप्त करने के लिये किसी भी महिला को परिवहन कार्यालय आने की आवश्यकता नहीं होती है।
