अर्जुन के पेड़ को औषधीय पेड़ माना जाता हैं क्यूंकि इसे बहुत सी दवाइयों के लिए उपयोगी माना जाता है। यह पेड़ ज्यादातर नदी और नालों के किनारे पाए जाते है। अर्जुन का पेड़ सदाहरित रहता हैं। अर्जुन के पेड़ को अन्य कई नामो से जाना जाता हैं जैसे ,घवल और नदीसर्ज। इस पेड़ की ऊंचाई लगभग 60 -80 फ़ीट ऊँची रहती हैं। अर्जुन का पेड़ ज्यादातर उत्तर प्रदेश ,महाराष्ट्र ,बिहार और अन्य कई राज्यों नदियों के किनारे या सुखी नदियों के तल के पास पाए जाते है।

अर्जुन के पेड़ की लम्बाई काफी ऊँची रहती है। अर्जुन का पेड़ बहुत ही शुष्क इलाकों में पाया जाता हैं। अर्जुन के पेड़ को किसी भी मिटटी में उगाया जा सकता है। अर्जुन के पेड़ को अनुनारिष्ट के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। इस पेड़ का उपयोग बहुत सालों से आयुर्वेदिक दवाइयों के लिए किया जा रहा है।
अर्जुन के पेड़ का फल कैसा होता हैं
अर्जुन के पेड़ का फल शुरुआत हल्के सफ़ेद और पीले रंग का होता हैं ,कुछ समय पश्चात जब फल में बढ़ोत्तरी होती हैं तो ये फल हरे और पीले रंग का दिखाई पड़ता हैं ,साथ ही इसमें से हल्की हल्की सुगंध भी आने लगती है। पकने के बाद ये फल लाल रंग का दिखाई पड़ने लगता है।

अर्जुन के पेड़ के पत्ते खाने से ये शरीर में जमा गंदे कॉलेस्ट्रॉल को बाहर निकलता हैं। इसका सेवन सुबह खाली पेट करना चाहिए। इन पत्तों का सेवन करने से ब्लड शुगर नियंत्रित रहता हैं।
अर्जुन की छाल से मिलने वाले फायदे
अर्जुन की छाल का काढ़ा बनाकर पीने से खून पतला होता हैं जो शरीर में ब्लड सर्कुलेशन को संतुलित बनाये रखता है। इस छाल के काढ़े का उपयोग दो से तीन महीने लगातार करना चाहिए। इस काढ़े के उपयोग से रक्तश्राव कम होता है। यह ह्रदय के रक्तचाप जैसी गतिविधियों की क्षमता में सुधार लाता है।

अर्जुन का पेड़ पाचन किर्या में सहायक होता हैं। इसकी छाल का चूर्ण बनाकर लेने से ये पाचन तंत्र को संतुलित बनाये रखता है। यह बड़े हुए चर्बी को कम करने में मदद करता हैं ,अर्जुन की छाल का सेवन लिवर जैसी समस्याओं के लिए बेहतर माना जाता है। यह वजन घटाने में भी सहायता प्रदान करती है।
